Kids Muay Thai

The study and practice of martial arts is widely known to provide students of all ages with life enhancing benefits. We believe that the primary basis of martial arts is to help create a connection between a student’s body and mind while teaching self defense techniques. In order to best prepare kids to be able to defend themselves and to get stronger mentally and physically, our kids curriculum offers a combination of three martial arts: Full Contact Japanese Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo.

All classes are taught by qualified instructors who love to work with children. We work closely with each student to ensure that they are being given every opportunity to excel. Our martial arts programs are structured around the following areas for kids between the ages of 4 and 12 years old:

Japanese Karate

  • Teaching self defense strategies; standing and on the ground
  • Teaching efficient and accurate martial arts basics both technically and practically
  • Providing fun games that assist with martial arts technical learning
  • Increasing attention and concentration
  • Providing cardiovascular fitness
  • Increasing balance, motor and coordination skills
  • Developing life skills: social interaction, bully avoidance, self discipline, personal growth, self confidence, goal setting, and respect
  • Providing stress relief
  • Providing clear rules regarding behavior and attitude on and off the mat
  • Conflict management skills
  • Team building skills
  • Development of mentorship relationships between students, staff and instructors
  • Supporting the families in our community to raise stronger, healthier, more respectful and confident kids
